Update from A Wider Bridge

After 15 years of building bridges between LGBTQ communities in North America and Israel, A Wider Bridge has made the difficult decision to wind down operations as of December 31, 2025.

We are incredibly proud of the community of LGBTQ Jews and allies we have created. Together we:

  • Advanced LGBTQ rights in Israel.
  • Countered LGBTQphobia, antisemitism, and other forms of hatred.
  • Built lasting connections through initiatives like PrideSafe and Queers Against Antisemitism.

This decision comes after challenging financial realities despite our best efforts to secure sustainable funding. We deeply appreciate our supporters and partners who made this work possible. This work would also not have been possible without the vision of founder Arthur Slepian and the dedication of the incredible staff of A Wider Bridge.

Though we are winding down, this is not a time to back down. We recognize the deep importance of our mission and work amid attacks on Jewish people and LGBTQ people – and LGBTQ Jews at the intersection. Our board members remain committed to showing up in their individual capacities to represent queer Jews across diverse spaces – and we know our partners and supporters will continue to do the same.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us create a legacy that will endure.
