Israel and Iran Update with Matthew and Ofer

Many Israelis spent the weekend sleeping in bomb shelters, watching the news to see the Iron Dome protecting them from Iranian missiles.

We know you have questions about this unprecedented attack. We have two experts, Ofer Erez and Matthew Nouriel, who will delve into what this means including its impact on LGBTQ Israelis. and Americans.

Ofer Erez was the first openly transgender officer to serve in the Israel Defense Forces and continues to work in education and advocacy as an intersectional activist.

Matthew Nouriel, also known as Empress Mizrahi, is an openly Queer, Iranian Jewish activist working at Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa (JIMENA). They are also a recent AWB mission alum.
