Israel 2025: Heartbreak and Hope

Danielle Feldman will speak about her recent experiences in Israel, including tours with A Wider Bridge and Hadassah. Through photographs and journal entries, Danielle will share stories about a variety of topics, including Israel’s LGBTQ+ leaders and communities; an inside look at healthcare in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem; the physical and emotional devastation of the October 7 attacks, including the multiple releases of hostages during her time there; and the daily lives of the people who, despite continued trauma and uncertainty, find joy and are thriving in Israel today.
Danielle is a Congregation Shomrei Torah member and its representative to Jewish Community Relations Council – Bay Area, a current Evolve Hadassah Fellow, A Wider Bridge Mission alumna, and was recently elected as a Delegate to the California Democratic Party. She has spoken about antisemitism at local school board and city council meetings and been quoted in local newspapers, and has just begun a blog at The Times of Israel.
