Scholarships for LGBTQ Students

West Hollywood’s Congregation Kol Ami is once again offering 2 $2500 college/grad school scholarships for LGBTQ Students and/or children of LGBTQ parents.

Congregation Kol Ami, West Hollywood’s Reform Synagogue through its Voice of My People Foundation announces that  two $2500 scholarships are available through a generous gift of the Papel Family Trust. These scholarships may be applied for through a special application process by an LGBTQ college/graduate student or child of LGBTQ parents.


These 2 grants are specifically designated to support college/grad students who identify as LGBTQ, or whose parent(s) identify as LGBTQ, who are committed to social justice and making strides in creating a more fair and just world.

The scholarships, available for the school year 2017-2018 are 2 Papel Family Trust scholarships at $2,500 each. Only U.S. and Canada candidates can apply.

The application process opened on January 1, 2017. The first 50 qualifying applications will be accepted in the order in which they were received, or until March 15, 2017, whichever comes first. The top 10 candidates will be informed of the second tier review process late May 2017.
