Lesbian Jewish author shares memoir

Jewish Lesbian author Leah Lax will make an appearance at the Library of Congress (101 Independence Ave., S.E.) in LM 654A on the sixth floor on Tuesday, May 3 at noon.


Lax will be speaking about her book “Uncovered: How I Left Hasidic Life and Finally Came Home.” Lax is the first gay woman to publish an ex-Hasidic memoir of its kind. The memoir has landed on Best Book lists for New York Public Library, Booklist, Redbook and more. Admission is free.
