SUMMARY:Yom HaAliyah: What "Homebound" really means as a Trans Jew
DESCRIPTION:Yom HaAliyah is an Israeli holiday honoring those who have chosen to move to Israel. Making a choice to honor one’s true self is especially poignant for trans Jews making Aliyah\, like Ariel Pereira\, who brilliantly captured his journey in “Homebound” published by AWB alum Bishop Megan Rohrer. Learn more about their incredible journey and how a chance encounter at the Be’er Sheva Pride House helped publish this book. With gratitude to the Israel Policy Forum Atid for their co-sponsorship and support of this event.

SUMMARY:Israel in Crisis: An Update from LGBTQ Israel [Gesher Society Exclusive]
DESCRIPTION:The worst kept secret is out–Israel is in crisis. But the secret to Israeli LGBTQ resilience…thankfully we’re keeping that one safe for those who are able to help us mobilize in this critical moment. \nOn April 29th\, we invite you to join us in a critical conversation at this critical time in Israel. Yom Hatzmaut and Yom HaZikaron are two Israeli holidays that evoke very different emotions–one of immense patriotism and another of immense pain. Imry Zagury\, VP of public affairs at the Aguda and AWB’s Israel communities manager\, will educate key AWB stakeholders in this event on the history of LGBTQ rights in Israel\, what’s being done now\, and most importantly\, what supporters can do to help. \n*This event is exclusive for A Wider Bridge supporters an alumni
