Tikkun Olam.\nWhat does Judaism teach us about creating a just society? \nThroughout this year\, join us to take a monthly\, one-hour “study break” to learn about an aspect of social justice in Jewish texts. \nHuman Rights\, Jewish Roots with Rabbi Gabriel Kanter-Webber\nSeptember 15 at 3pm ET / 12pm PT \nSign up \nThe Universal Declaration of Human Rights\, drafted in 1948 by French Jewish jurist René Cassin\, laid out a vision for dignity and freedom for all people. But long before the United Nations\, Jewish tradition was already wrestling with many of the same ideas. In this session\, we’ll explore how biblical and rabbinic texts speak to the principles behind the Declaration.
