Barbra Streisand arrives in Israel, with pet dog

Iconic Jewish-American singer, actress arrives at Ben-Gurion Airport in Israel ready to perform, receive doctorate in J’lem.

ShowImageIconic Jewish-American singer and actress Barbra Streisand arrived at Ben-Gurion Airport on Saturday night along with her pet dog.

The American singer, who will be staying for the next two nights in Jerusalem, will receive an honorary doctorate on Monday from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Streisand will be presented with the degree at a ceremony during the Hebrew University International Board of Governors meeting.

“Of course I thought of my father [when I was told of the award],” she said. “It was my great honor to dedicate the Emanuel Streisand Building at Hebrew University many years ago. The thing that I love most about the university is that people of all faiths and philosophies are welcome to study there.”
