Athens festival to honor Israeli director

The 21st International Athens Film Festival, called Opening Nights, will feature a retrospective of the work of the Israeli director Eytan Fox.


The festival, which runs from September 24 to October 4, will show several of Fox’s most acclaimed works. Fox will travel to Greece for several of the screenings.

Yossi & Jagger, Fox’s 2002 breakout international hit about a romance between two male IDF soldiers (which won the Best Actor Award at the Tribeca Film Festival for its star, Ohad Knoller), and its 2012 sequel, Yossi, will be screened.
