Andy Reveals He Was Diagnosed with Skin Cancer

Famed gay Jewish TV personality and author Andy Cohen revealed on live TV he was diagnosed with skin cancer after he had spotted a suspicious black dot on his lip.

Andy Cohen made a shocking reveal on Friday’s Live with Kelly; The Superficial author took a seat as co-host next to Kelly Ripa a day after Thanksgiving and opened the morning show by thanking her for prompting him to see a dermatologist.

“I want to say, by the way, that I have to shout you out for something that you don’t know I’m going to shout you out for. But I had this black dot on my bottom lip that you and I were at a party for Anderson’s mom in April. And you said, ‘You have a black dot on your lip. I don’t think that’s something good,’ ” Cohen, 48, told Ripa.

“Well I had never seen it before and you know I pay attention to people, and I had never seen it on your lip before. Mark [Consuelos] had never seen it,” Ripa, 46, said about spotting the dot on Cohen’s lip.
