The LGBT Olim group, in association with the Tel Aviv Gay Center and the Tel Aviv municipality, announce “Coming out, coming home,” a Q&A event for LGBTQ people who are interested in making Aliyah and moving to Israel.
“Coming Out, Coming Home” will be a first of it’s kind web event, the first time that the Jewish Agency, Nefesh B’Nefesh and the Ministry of Absorption will ever be attending an event specifically aimed at LGBT people who are interested in moving to live in Israel.
The online, live-streamed event will take place November 3rd and will include a panel of people from LGBT Olim, Nefesh B’Nefesh, the Jewish Agency, Ministry of Interior and Telfed (South African Zionist Federation). Viewers will be able to ask LGBT/aliyah-related questions (anonymously if they wish) that they may not feel comfortable asking in general.
A second panel will discuss the many LGBT organizations that exist in Israel, so that prospective olim can see how diverse and dynamic the Israeli LGBT community is.
