Roni Belenki, Israel Communities Manager, believes that the struggle for the rights of the gay community is part of a broader endeavor to protect human rights and to transform Israel into a more liberal, pluralist and egalitarian state. She also serves as Vice President of the Aguda – Israel’s LGBTQ Task Force- an organization that leads the struggle for gay rights in Israel.
Prior to joining A Wider Bridge, Roni worked at Be Free Israel – an organization that promotes liberal values on issues of religion and state. In her previous position, she directed the movement’s training and projects and managed the School of Activism, which trains hundreds of young Israeli leaders for tools and knowledge of social change.
Roni has a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and currently lives in Tel Aviv.
