A Wider Bridge invites you to meet our grantees advancing LGBTQ seniors’ rights, community, and social services in Tel Aviv and across the State of Israel.  Joining our Israeli delegation are Sara Sweiry and Robin Rosenbaum of Beshela, (the organization for LBTQ Israeli senior women), and Chen Arieli, Chair of the Aguda – Israel LGBTQ Task Force.

Over the past several years, the Israeli LGBTQ community has begun to address challenges facing LGBTQ seniors – higher rates of poverty and social isolation, and interaction with Israeli social service and medical agencies lacking the proper training to provide care for LGBTQ seniors. Sara, Robin and Chen join us to share their experiences in this emerging field in Israel, and to build relationships with American LGBTQ communities and organizations to better advance their goals in Israel.

A Wider Bridge is proud to grant support for the work of Beshela and the Aguda through our AWB Impact Grant making initiative.
