The city of Tel Aviv has distributed a “Save the Date” press release announcing Gay Pride Week in 2013, starting June 7.
Tel Aviv was chosen as Best City of 2011 by the GayCities website back in January. And with a gay scene that competes with the preeminent gay capitals around the globe, an amazing beach, good weather, great food, and other attractions in the country like Jerusalem and the Dead sea, Tel Aviv is definitely a place you should check out for your next trip. Just so you know, last year almost every hotel was at full capacity during Pride Week, as the city become the capitol gay city of the Mediterranean, attracting thousands of tourists from all over Europe for the big event. So if you’re planning on going, make sure you book (at least) a hotel in advance. Oh – and buy yourself a decent swimsuit – because it’s going to be hot!
The Pride Parade takes place on Friday, June 7th, 2013. With over 50 gay events throughout Pride Week, not to mention all the regular attractions the city has to offer, coming to Tel Aviv will be a vacation you will never forget!
We’ll keep you updated, as none of the performances or special events has been announced for the week as yet, but if you want to receive special tips, or have any questions about booking your next pride trip to Israel, just ask us on our Facebook page! (after all, yours truly is a gay Tel Avivi who knows his was around!)
