The acclaimed Ohad Naharin documentary, by Tomer Heymann, is ready to take America by storm next month.
The Heymann Brothers’ acclaimed documentary, Mr. Gaga, a portrait of Ohad Naharin, the Batsheva Dance Company’s artistic director, will be opening throughout the US in early February.
On January 30, there will be a festive screening at the Brooklyn Academy of Music with producer Barak Heymann, Naharin and Batsheva dancers. The screening will precede an engagement by the Batsheva troupe at BAM, which will run from February 1-4.
On February 1 the movie will open in New York at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center at Lincoln Center and at the Film Forum.
Mr. Gaga was just shown in a sold-out screening at the New York Jewish Film Festival.
On February 8 there will be a pre-release screening in Los Angeles with director Tomer Heymann at Dance Camera West. On February 10, the film will open at the Laemmle’s Playhouse 7, Monica Film Center and Town Center Encino in Los Angeles and other theaters throughout California.
