Join us in New York on Sunday, May 7 at 7:30 PM for a discussion with Palestinian Arab Christian John Calvin on how he came to support Israel and oppose the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement.
John grew up in the West Bank in the family that helped found the terrorist organization Hamas. As a teenager, Calvin spent time in an Israeli detention center that changed his life: he converted to Christianity, came out as gay, and learned to understand and appreciate Israelis and the Jewish State. Upon his release from the detention center, John returned to the West Bank, where his newly embraced identities proved to be life-threatening. John escaped to Jordan, and then made his way to the United States via Canada. Today, he speaks out about his life experience and why he supports the State of Israel as a Palestinian Arab Christian.
