Chris McCannell from Washington, DC took part in A Wider Bridge’s LGBTQ Mission to Israel and share his magic moments from the trip in this newly-released video.
“I think for me the entire trip has been incredibly impactful, but I think what probably be the biggest impact or memory for me was after visiting the Western Wall tunnels and the Kotel at night and then coming down as an LGBT group to overlook the Western Wall and Juval was singing Matisyahu’s ‘One Day’ – it was very emotional for me.”

Participants on a wider bridge’s 2014 Israel Mission shared their magic moments from the trip. A Wider Bridge’s unique trip brings together an incredible and diverse group of leaders – lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LGBTQ) people and allies, Jews and non-Jews.
Through shared experience, participants engage with modern Israeli and LGBTQ life, and learn about both the recent and ancient history of the people, the land and the state of Israel.
A Wider Bridge is taking 30 LGBT Leaders to Israel this November! If you are an LGBT leader interested in the AWB mission, or to nominate a leader for the mission, please email Tyler. For more details click here
